3 days before August and grandma was getting sick again, my cousin and her dad and stepmom was here visiting. During that visit me and my uncle got into a few bouts about him moving things around the house when I asked him not to, he even got on my computer (right after I turned it off and told them it needed to rest) and went through a bunch of stuff and got on the internet and wouldnt shut it off (and had anothe rsmall fight which included religous issues). The next day Grandma's health had declined and she non-responsive and wouldnt answer or squeeze our fingers when we asked her to...her respirations were 4 a minute and the normal is between 14 and 20...her blood pressure was fluctuating and we called an ambulance. With her on her way to the hospital and my dad, uncle, aunt, cousin, and stepmom following them there wasnt much room for me and so I told them to go ahead and go, I would stay at home...But I called my mom and asked her to come and pick me up to go to her house, she did and I brought my puppy. When we got to my moms house, they made me chain my puppy to a tree and wouldnt let me bring him inside. It was so hot outside and he kept dumping over his water dish, I wanted to bring him in but couldnt. The next day, August 1st I got a call from my dad saying that Grandma had passed in her sleep at 6:45 AM. I stayed with my mom until the viewing on thursday, spent the night at my house (there were family members everywhere!!) and friday morning had gone to the funeral and after that had gone back to my moms house. She took me on a trip to float down a river and we stayed in a cabin...The float trip seemed like a good idea to cheer up a bit and take my mind off of things. The trip down the river was long...too long. We were on the river for 8 hours and I am sunburnt, tired, and sore... Now I am sitting here, at home with my 2 cats and my puppy watching the Gilmore Girls and am missing Grandma really bad...She looked so peaceful and healthier than she had been when she was still alive...I had been taking care of her for a little over a year, I am really glad that I have gotten that chance, I learned so much more about her and heard some amazing stories about her and the family.
love you gramma!
